Honeymoon Outfits Inspiration

5' 10", 230 lbs male, significant belly. I'd be willing to DM some photos. I'm on the bigger side, and look best (imo) in dark green, navy, or certain shades of red. I can pull off lighter shades, but too bright looks very bad imo. I'm looking to build/buy 3+ outfits for my honeymoon. I'd love some inspiration and advice. We're going to an island in the Caribbean for 8 days. I wear A LOT of florals and hawaiian shirts, even if they aren't fashionable. But, imo, I've got the charm and happy-go-lucky attitude/confidence to pull it off. I want to look great for my bride on our honeymoon. She is attracted to florals (what I usually wear) but also flannels/woodsy and darker styles, too. Not goth, but more edgy metrosexual, I guess? if you have any advice for helping me describe her tastes, I'll gladly do so. Her favorite outfit was when I was wearing a dark olive shirt with black floral print, a nice black watch and a subtle gold necklace. She loves accessories/hats/tattoos/earrings. Things that make a person look unique. Regrettably, that's all outside my norm unless I'm dressing up to make her smile. I am wearing some black square frames (very basic) and have some Ray bans. Otherwise, I don't have much besides my new gold and black wedding band and some other misc., cheap jewelry. Please, help me build some outfits 😅 How do I size myself, especially for shorts and shirts? What accessories should I get? What's in style for beach/island wear?

white naturally, but tan to a decent warm beige or something. Heart-shaped face

i know, just a heads up that skin tone matching, face shape phenotyping, etc has nothing to do with ur fashion journey, fit choices, or progression

I’m gonna disregard the skin tone/face shape stuff because it it’s not a healthy way to approach fashion (nor will it make you dress better) but I’m very happy to make recommendations to help you dress the way you want to dress

In particular, these words all mean a lot of different things to different people so I’d love a little more insight into what you’re looking for

You’re all good- it’s a very common misconception/preconception for people- we just want to catch that as fast as possible

In general the more photos of what you like that you bring here, the better off we are to help you If you don't feel comfortable posting photos of yourself in here that's fine, but it can definitely be helpful in bridging any gaps between how you dress now and how you want to dress. We can talk sizing if you need to, but generally its super easy to size by measurements just get your measurements and compare them against a garment you can do it with a string and a measuring tape bring photos and you'll have us to help ya

Okay, let's do that. I'll definitely be a bit to get measurements so, I guess I posted too soon. Thank you for all the current advice and I'll be back with new info 🙂 Cheers 🙂

You dont need measurements to talk about developing a style for this just to buy things which comes after anyways

Congrats, when is the honeymoon? And what part of the country/world do you live in? I’m sure you’re probably wanting to get stuff you can incorporate into your regular wardrobe right? (I’m sure that might help folks give you some pointers… also budget?)
