Ayaneo Air Pro wont boot

As per my previous post, I have bazzite installed on the Ayaneo Air Pro I sold to my step nephew but it's having trouble not only booting up but now it overheated and won't boot up. Should I just reinstall windows?

Sounds like a deeper hardware issue. Are you able to enter the bios? Try turning off secure boot and fast boot. Then see if anything changes

I asked him if he has a keyboard and a usb to c adapter to boot to bios easier

Best to also reset the bios to factory settins first, then applying any changes

This either sounds like a hardware issue or you somehow bricked your BIOS. Neither of which is possible by reinstalling an OS. It also sounds like Bazzite did work at some point so that definitely rules it out as a possible culprit. Did either of you try to update the BIOS? Doing that incorrecty can certainly break the machine

Sorry to say, but it seems like it was on its last leg. None of the issues you explained are software specific. There isn't much else that can go wrong at this point so you can try taking it apart and booting it without the SSD. The only other thing i can think of is that it's actually out of battery and the charging cable is broken

I'll pick it up from him and try some troubleshooting, just in case I did send a message to Ayaneo to see if they can provide assistance It was the charger, he was using a Nintendo switch charger. I plugged my 65w charger into it and it started charging

Unfortunately the handheld can't handle Bazzite so I'm installing win10, at least it's more forgiving than win11
