Roblox told me this in private. "Starting January 12th 2024. Roblox will be replacing the old chat. This is being made to give away more personality and identity about this chat. This may seem like a harsh decision but we must do it."
This was from the Roblox HQ.

In my opinion thats the best they could do, look at the top bar and look at the chat, it hasn't received any visual updates in ages and ends up getting too different to what everything was changed to, not counting the issues that the old code of it generates, like those games that used to ban people by joining, they abused that chat old code to do it, and Roblox themselves were aware of it years ago, they finally changed how it works and hopefuly this one will not be that exploitable but ends up leaving a bit of functionality developers could do before, so they end up needing to make their own chat instead of using this new one.
