You're taking a small amount of people from that community and extrapolating it to cover the entire community. The people you dislike are the small but very vocal minority of people in the LGBT community that everyone focuses on because of the things that they do. Doing this makes you no better than the toxic people you dislike because you're inferring that all LGBT people make their sexuality their personality when its only a small fraction of people.
Most LGBT people look like any person you'd see every day-- average people who live their lives a little bit differently than you. The crazy dyed hair people holding up signs and bullying others online in the media are not representative of LGBT as a whole. I'm gay and I can speak for a lot of people that we don't revolve around our sexuality and we normally have to be asked if we're LGBT to let people know. It's a shame that people who don't know a lot about the LGBT community equate a small group of people to the entire community. It's been so politicized to the point where people consume information and take it at face value because that's what makes sense to them when the only information they've heard is in this context.
You're probably pretty young and impressionable so I can't blame you fully for thinking this way. Hopefully this will clear things up for you.
