I still fail to see how a raid where people would spam for one day would warrant the indefinite closure of an entire forum.
It was closed because they couldn’t control the forums for a rapidly growing game (250 million users in 2017), most users being children. The forums near the end were pretty chaotic. Also I feel that something like October 1st would be a lot more detrimental to the state of the forum than a meme raid.
