Youtube Music is weird (Review I guess) - Roblox Forum
I mean, I understand why Youtube Music why it was created.
Youtube itself can be a cool place to find music, music videos, and other cool details for free. It's also a nice place to find songs that you can't find on other streaming media sites since anyone, if they can get past copyright, can upload anything to youtube. The main problem is that Youtube wasn't made to be a music streaming service, so it can be hard to find music without swimming through an ocean of non-music related videos.
To solve this problem and make money, Google made Youtube Music. I used it and I'll give my thoughts on it.
The Youtube Music app offers many features. One feature is what they call Daily Mixes. It's similar to Spotify's mixes except the songs in it changes every single time you visit them. They're created based on what you like on the site. Another feature is the Quick Picks features, where Youtube will suggest you songs based on what you like. Personally, I really like these features since I enjoy trying new things. Heck, I found some of my favorite songs from this feature.
Like other streaming services, it has its paid features. One of them is playing a song when exiting the app on mobile. When you leave the app while playing a song, the app will stop the song, and it will not play until you access the app again and play it. This is like the Youtube Music's only limitation when using the app free, except ads because it's Youtube, and it's weird. I don't feel comfortable staying on an app to play music. I like to exit the app and let the song play in the background as I do something else.
In conclusion, Youtube Music is not bad. The paid Youtube Music is not worth it if you're using solely on desktop and even on mobile if you can get the hang of the limitations. The only thing worth it is the removal of ads, but I highly doubt anyone would pay for that reason considering no one pays for Youtube Red.
