I've done extensive research on whether or not people find Minecraft boring.
As many of the other answers say, . Sure, you try to kill the bosses, but even then, you're not really done. Also, building up to just these few quests takes a lot of grinding, which many people don't like.

Honestly I find the survival mode really boring

As someone who played a lot of Minecraft in the past, I can understand why some find Minecraft boring.
Unless you enjoy going on random quests you made yourself, playing around with mods, or having a knack for creating many things, singleplayer can get boring, especially creative mode and survival mode when you beat the game. It’s mainly do to the fact that there’s not really any other objective in Minecraft other than fight the Ender Dragon.
I think the main thing that mainly brings players back is multiplayer, especially Minecraft servers like Hypixel, Mineplex, etc. Unlike singleplayer, you have things to do in these servers, like play minigames, survive and build with other players around the world, and fight against each other. These games make Minecraft more enjoyable for more players and give the game more replayability once the player beats singleplayer.
