Self made dot matrix printer that recycles parts from an old or broken printer
Here is a partial image of what it looked like (I plan to redo the mechanics to use a proper printhead from a proper dot matrix printer (the original printhead in the shown unit was a modified one from a tiny shuttle impact dot printer))

Here is a video before it was temporarily put out of service due to the planned upgrade. The new printhead will hopefully arrive next week
Here is the python code that sends data to the printer
The python and arduino programs are subject to constant unnotified change, which means the code might be broken while adding more features
Here is a photo and video of the printer working again (the video is heavily cut down to fit under 10MB)
There is visible ghosting on the prints which is due to an over inked ribbon
