Anyone else notice that Roblox has had a community bogeyman for basically its entire history?
I've noticed that throughout Roblox's history, there has always been some sort of community figure for everyone to hate, with a lot of similar trends. For example, they almost always have online dating and toxicity associated with them, certain games associated with them (Welcome to the town of Robloxia, Life in Paradise, Roblox High School, and "Hood" games) items associated with them, (Ice arms, Holiday Crown, Beautiful Hair for Beautiful People, Stitchface, Korblox Deathspeaker Leg) and in the public eye, they are usually quite young, yet try to act mature. It seems this type of person has always existed in Roblox, but it seems that, no matter their form, the community usually exaggerates their presence and vilifies them (Think about how hated and ubiquitous Ice Arm ODers seemed in 2017, or Slenders are now) That, and the fact they have always manifested themselves in different forms throughout the years, always basically the same in behavior and how the community treats them, yet treated as their own group threatening to ruin Roblox in the eyes of the larger community, is what I still don't understand. What do you guys think?
