When I say this I mean by the community. I know that Roblox was not as good as it is now with glitches and graphics etc, but I mean the people then.

Difference between old Roblox and new Roblox is that it used to be fun. I bet if I had a time machine and could play Roblox exactly as it was in 2012 then I would have more fun than I do in any Roblox game nowadays. It's practically 2 different games at this point.

I find it funny that new players say “Old Roblox was better!” even though people were saying that for many years in the past, even in the years Roblox players thought were “good”.

depends on what you value more in a community
there are still good games, but roblox games used to be a lot more fun in my opinion, obviously most of them still work, but lack the playerbase to be fun or maybe have glitches that make it unplayable
though, this might be just me being a kid that was able to find things more enjoyable and im just reminiscing on nostalgia
the point ill have to call complete bullcrap on though is that “the playerbase was better”

as kids tend to do in action based games, they WILL form a crappy community filled with toxicity
if you were a new player or guest? forget about it.
if you were skilled enough to beat someone in a game, youll probably get even worse results
like 99% of the community were selfish children, which lead to bad users like jaredvaldez or whatever to pollute the site
moderation still wasnt good then either, but not in the same way. since they cared a little more about coppa then, they were pretty strict on what was and wasnt allowed on the platform, unlike todays moderation, where they click the accept or delete button with their eyes closed
oh yeah, and all those exploits, good if you were into those things, and bad if youre looking at it from any other lenses
so, likely not.

im not really a veteran but i feel like old roblox seemed more alive , like for example they would celebrate holidays and the old roblox forums that were actually on roblox just made it feel vetter

I agree, but for different reasons. The community made some good games. And while the community now is more technically talented, they seemed to have lost their soul.

In my opinion, I liked the old Roblox better, I first joined in about 2015-2016 as a guest ( I was a guest until like 2/3 months before they removed them ). The reason why I like old Roblox better was people actually seemed to care of other people and there was less toxicity, there was also better games or at least I liked these games because I was a child, the games seemed to have a heart and more of a soul then the games now with almost no work put in and it just being a cash grab. I also missed the events, I didn't really participate but now that they are gone, I miss them. I also liked how simple it was in old Roblox and how it was just a lego game. Now there is stuff like rthro ( It's too realistic, I play Roblox to escape the world and horrors of the real world ) which is usually only used for joke charecters and stuff. Something that I do admit to be cool about the new Roblox is all the new hats that come out even though I don't buy them.

Apart from roblox da hood slender, display names, front page covered in knock off anime games, and there being less events. Nothing really bothers me. UNLESS you were playing roblox between 2006-2014, youre prob just whining how the games you use to play aren't fun because they just got repetitive or you grown too old of it and decided to put the blame on the roblox platform instead of yourself.
I mean I do miss the red logo,the roblox text font, player list, and albertsstuff but I don't think roblox was better.
also the people talking about toxicity. How were you to know which year had th Emory toxic people. Did you get into roblox database and read every chat log to find the amount of toxicity? I'm finding these answers unreliable and you guys were prob just here in the wrong place and time and just assumed this happens to everyone?

Agreed. I never liked 2015+ Roblox, though looking back 2015 was actually a pretty good year for Roblox. 2016 was when enjoyment went downhill.

Roblox was always the same, it's just that our expectations of how games could be were so little as kids that everything surprised us.
Like, my jaw genuinely dropped when I first played Neighborhood Of Robloxia (because I had never been given his much freedom in a game before) and it was during the same time GTA V released 😭

Old Roblox definitely sucked community-wise. The games had potential. There was still online daters and bullies and CnPs back in the old days of roblox, but the CnPs just looked different compared to now.

I disagree, I feel that over time Roblox cared less about maintaining it's site and cared more about having Roblox be a household name. That would explain the jump in server issues over the years.
