What is the programming language you recommend to learn first? - Roblox Forum
Hello there. So I am learning two programming languages currently- Lua and Node.js, but I want to focus on one programming language. What's your recommendation?

If you're gonna work on ROBLOX, i think Lua is the best option (if there even are others)

I would recommend that you learn Java script because it would be good to make hacks and games that go on GitHub

Python is a good language to start since it's not object based programming like Java or Lua
JavaScript is also good as well.

If you are very new to programming it's best to start with Python - it's a good programming language with easy to learn syntax. Making simple programs is very easy in it.
LUA is also good to learn, just note LUA is a bit different from ROBLOX version of LUA (LUAu), and it's slightly more hard than Python. It's not as popular anymore as it used to be, but it's great for making games in ROBLOX.
