Why is it socially acceptable for someone to call another person scrawny, skinny, short but not okay to call someone fat or large. It makes me mad that people don’t see that it really is not a compliment. It’s an insult.

As a person who is short, it really hurts to be insulted, and the fact that it always happens during an argument makes it worse.
Like, I can't adjust my height whatsoever, but people can change their body sizes to however they like. yeah, it's tough, but at least you can change it.

I used to work with a girl who would preface every question by announcing it. IE "Question: what time are we closing today?" She did not appreciate it when I would reply doing the same thing. "Answer: the usual closing time, 5pm."
