I got a warning for advertising another forum - Roblox Forum
I get how it would be considered advertising (it was indirect) however I don't get why that's a bannable offense?
It's like they're trying to keep everyone here as much and as desperately as possible
Any reason why this rule exists?? that I'm missing out on? Maybe I'm missing out on information from the rules or whatever but it's a kind of questionable rule to implement

If you advertise things, such as ''follow me'' or like ''join my group on Roblox'' then that's a rule of violation

It makes sense that advertising an alternative of the site you are using is against the rules, it does not try to keep people here, it just does not condone people advertising "alternatives"
And no, you wouldn't get warned for advertising your Roblox group.

But why? Why does this place not condone people advertising alternatives? That doesn't make sense, it's not like this website owns a copyright label on the idea of forums or whatever

It's basically like having a group but then one member advertises their own and then that group becomes active.
This forum isn't very large, but there really isn't a reason to advertise other forums anyways.

From what Kil said, if people advertised other forums here, this one would die a bit, and only like 100 people here are still active.
That's the reason why was demoted from moderator and banned. He tried to advertise another forum and completely kill this one along with other mods.
