Lady White Co. VS Merz B Schwanen! Uniqlo Quality?

I’ve narrowed my search for the perfect white tee down to the Merz B Schwanen 215 Midweight tee, the Lady White Co. “Our T-shirt”, and the Uniqlo Supima tee. I read recent posts on reddit that Uniqlo has taken a sharp dive in quality and the Supima tee isn’t good anymore, what do you guys think of that? Otherwise, between Merz B Schwanen and Lady Co.’s signature tees, which one wins? Are there any cheap alternatives to these tees that don’t do that weird thing where they fit tight around the shoulder, and are lightweight but still don’t show nip?

The 4th post that stmn linked was from me. I purchased a few LWC tee shirts and I've worn each a handful of times and I really do think that they're better than the Uniqlo ones I've owned over the years. I can't attest to quality since I've only recently got them, but I can say that the LWC ones fare much better after numerous washes. They hold their shape better and the neckline doesn't seem to distort over time.

Currently reading through all the posts you sent me any thoughts on the Uniqlo Supima? what about the very recent reports of its declining quality?

I have a few Supima tee shirts that I use for PJs, but I can't really confirm how the quality has changed over the years. I've been wearing Uniqlo since my high school days and the only thing I've really noticed is that the fit/sizing changes almost every year. I wouldn't be surprised if quality has gone downhill though - Uniqlo is still fast fashion and I wouldn't expect a lot of the pieces to be BIFL (buy it for life)

Bronson MFG makes some good tee shirts too but they're on the thicker side and I personally wouldn't wear them in the summer outside

Yeah I want something light but thank you I like the look of the Uniqlo Supima and they have a $5 off sale right now but I’ve heard bad reports of their quality

For $15-20, I think Supima is a good buy It won't fall apart or anything in the wash

fwiw i've had plenty of fast fashion last far longer than their intended shelf life due to effective laundering (mostly wash cold/dry on no heat); sure a t-shirt from h&m isn't going to compare to lady white or merz but treating either like shit isn't going to help

I 100% with you there. I always use cold water and hang-dry on my IKEA rack
