Valorant stuttering. (only valorant)
Hey I am facing stutter issue when playing valorant. I have a fairly highend pc of the game that pumps 600+ fps. I even tried reinstalling windows to fix this issue. I've attached ss of the graph image of when the screen freezes/stutters. (capped fps to better capture the issue in the graph). I've never had this issue before with the same setup. now it's unplayable. p.s. just saw that even when valorant is running in the background I get this issue. when I move my mouse with valo in background, mouse lags sometimes.

Sorry but idk bout' the issue you are facing but can you tell me from where can you see this graph thingy
just turned on fps graph in-game just to show the stutters.
A video for better understanding the issue.
i’m having the same issue

it's been like this since a week or two. it's driving me mad so I stopped playing.
The four spikes in the CPU wait GPU time are the lags. atleast the once which were noticeable.

@krak what’s your riot id?
It's krak #kra
could you send me your vanguard logs?
I have the same issue….

@krak i figured out the issue

@Direct To Alex
@adel
u have the same issue
@Direct To Alex @nubgeimer fyi, after looking at errors in the Event Viewer, I saw realtek hardware io error. disabling the respective device solved it. credit: @BigSeGZY69
Thank you
Partially solved. Since I use wifi and not lan, disabling it doesn't affect me. But to use lan, not sure what to do.
How u done it?
How for which part?
@junimo just confirmed that this error comes up only when playing valorant.
can you screen record and send a clip of which device you disabled in device manager
im having the same problem and I keep getting an audio disconnect sound whenever I load the game, then the stuttering starts
for me it was the Realtek 2.5 GbE Family Controller, not sure why but it was causing my game to eat shit and cry, I disabled it in BIOS, "Onboard LAN Controller" I think it was called.
Far as I know it's only responsible for ethernet
This wasn't just happening on valorant for me though, it was also happening on fortnite, so my guess is that it's not a vanguard issue but more so driver conflict with unreal engine...
one thing I have noticed (before I disabled the thing) for both games the errors would keep spamming event log in the middle of an actual game, so not inbetween games, though for fortnite the errors kept going even after the game concluded and the app was shut down, for valorant it was only happening during the game, after the game ended the errors stopped too.
@junimo potentially helpful info ^
I did clear my logs though but I could try to recreate the problem if needed; though probably would take a while to find the setting to re-enable the hardware ;-;
Question, what am i actually meant to do if i want to stop the stutters? Summary please.
Disable "Onboard LAN Controller" in BIOS Settings.
That was my fix. As simple as it gets.
ill try ity
