new job - need new clothes!
hey all - i got a new job (going from a non customer facing/mechanic role to more customer focused and into management) and i need some new feel-good clothes to fit the position.
manager has said "golf shirts, casual pants and nice shoes" is the dress code, so im thinking pretty laid back and casual and keep a collar on the shirt.
so far, i'd like to start with maybe 2 pairs of pants and 3-4 shirts depending on cost, and thinking about a new pair of leather boots (specifically red wing leather moc toe because i can try them on).
budget not including boots - 300-400cdn
stores near me: LLBean, RW&Co, banana republic, symons (not sure if this is a canadian store but i've heard theyre decent for menswear), uniqlo, Ralph Lauren; also have sporting good stores that will carry the very stereotypical adidas/under armor style golf shirts, and a duer (looking at their no sweat 5 pocket pant in particular).
i also have a few more upper class menswear stores like Harry Rosen (another canadian thing i think, but they carry things like Brunello Cucinelli but i think thats gonna be way over budget).
anyways, if anyone has some ideas on colors, fabrics (it is summer after all and i want to stay cool), maybe specific items that may fit the bill or lean a little more formal im open to that. Using this opportunity to spice up the wardrobe a bit.
thanks in advance!
