Can confirm, taking a break does help if you get overwhelmed by big projects

Dunno if you're still having this problem, but I'll leave this here anyway. I’ve run into this issue a lot myself, more than once and with several games. It can be really frustrating when the whole thing starts to feel overwhelming because there’s just so much you want to do. What helped me was setting smaller, more manageable goals. Instead of trying to complete the entire zoo I had planned, I tell myself that "Today I’m just going to work on this one area, or this one habitat". Breaking it up into bite-sized chunks really helped me enjoy the process again. Another thing I started doing was reminding myself that things don’t have to be complete or perfect. I'd think about it before playing that I'm going to play to relax and have fun. That mindset shift made me a lot more motivated, and I actually started to enjoy building again. Of course, there are still days when this doesn't work. On those days, if I really want to play, I still force myself to complete one habitat or one section. When it's finished I usually feel a lot more motivated, and if not, that's okay too. Sometimes you just gotta try and push through. Breaks won't always help. This turned out to be a novel, and I guess a more 'general' tip, but I hope it helps!
