Grouped/Nested Folders For Albums

Hello! I want to start by saying I appreciate all the contributors to this project. I've had my eye on it for a very long time, and have been procrastinating fully setting it up and migrating away from my very messy dump ground for my photos. I started to take this opportunity to organize my photos in a way I personally think would be best for me, though after brainstorming what that may be unfortunately it does not seem Immich natively supports what I want to do which is having nested folders/albums within an album/folder. I use the Storage Template feature to organize my uploaded files, that I have slowly been uploading into Immich as I clean them up. I currently use {{album}}/{{y}}/{{MMMM}}/{{filename}} and it looks great! I was always scared in the last to use Immich due to the way it saved the files, but with storage templates that dislike is gone. Though, this leaves some room for desire. It works for things like my 3D Printing album where I just dump random photos of my 3D printing into, which I did prior but now Immich also organized that album into the dates those photos were taken (awesome). Sadly, this does not work for things like
/Concerts
/Primus, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer
/2025
/April
- Photos&Videos
/TOOL
/2023
/September
- Photos&Videos
/Concerts
/Primus, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer
/2025
/April
- Photos&Videos
/TOOL
/2023
/September
- Photos&Videos
This is currently how I organize my folder where I store my concerts, but it does not seem I can keep this organization with Immich because there are no nesting features.

I did some research and found this feature request -> https://github.com/immich-app/immich/discussions/2073 which has been discussed since 2023, leaving me little hope this will be a thing, which is okay if I can find an alternative. Reading the request I was seeing people say that tags are pretty similar, but I don't quite understand if the tags would let me continue to save the files in this structure? I could use external libraries and just continue to manually manage all the folders myself, but from my understanding is that external libraries are not as feature rich as internal ones- such as sharing them. I go to a few concerts with my dad, and I'd like to be able to share that specific album with him but I don't think I can do that with external libraries unless I give him SMB access to the actual files. So, my question is does anyone know if I can keep this folder structure using storage templates, and tags? Or any other ways? Or am I pretty much stuck with using external libraries or creating albums named like Concerts - TOOL (this is what I'm doing now with the stuff I currently did migrate into Immich, but man the amount of albums I have doing this is crazy and looks cluttered) Sorry for the wall of text 🙈
