Plant and fruit nerd explains Grow a garden crop accuracy - Grow a Garden
Carrot- vegetable so ig its accurate Strawberry- Somewhat accurate, but strawberry bushes are a lot smaller and more thin with large lees relative to the branches. Blueberry- very inaccurate from experience. I grow 3 large blueberry bushes and 2 dwarf ones IRL. They are not like that whatsoever. Google it if u dont know what I mean. Orange Tulip- From what I know, because I've only ever seen tulips in a colder climate (I'm in a hotter zone), they are quite accurate to the real thing, although are slightly larger IRL. Tomato- It does not get much more inaccurate than this. FROM EXPERIENCE, tomatoes and nightshades are more like prickly, hairy groundcover plants. Occasionally they pop up as invasive plants and are definitely not accurate in game. Corn- While I've never truly seen a corn stalk myself (in person) , I think its fairly accurate. Daffodil- Ahhh, this is a tough one. They're accurate but daffodils often grow in groups and I believe they are multi-harvest with a shorter lifespan. Watermelon- Its accurate yeah, the stem of the watermelon is far thinner but yes, accurate. Pumpkin- They just retextured a watermelon when in reality, pumpkins r nothing like that. They're a viney ground cover plant with many pumpkins, more like a ground based fruit tree than a vegetable. Apple- I have no idea what they were thinking when they made this thing into a pine tree. Apple trees are nothing even remotely similar to a pine tree, if anything they look like a dead maple tree. Bamboo- Quite literally the only 2 slight inaccuracies of this thing is that it IRL, it spreads like wild fire and begins like a little spike in the ground. Good job grow a garden! Coconut- Really accurate apart from the fruit placement. Which is at the top of the trunk. Cactus- This doesn't even exist. But for u guys, the readers' sake, lets say its a prickly pear or peruvian apple cactus. Which it gets BOTH wrong. Not only the build of the cac

is wrong but the fruit too just doesn't exist to my knowledge. Unless its an unripe prickly pear, the cactus fruit isn't real. So really darn inaccurate. Dragonfruit- The infamous exotic fruit that everyone knows full well isn't exotic. Its actually a cactus vine and the fruits only grow to about 1.5 kg MAX. They have no stem either and also the fruits grow on the end of the vines. Mango- Just please tell me you guys knew mangoes arent bright red... The tree. The fruits on the mango tree in grow a garden look like oversized, recoloured pears, not mangoes. In fact the nectarine tree in game looks more like a mango tree, js miniature. The only thing accurate about the mango tree in grow a garden is its size as mango trees can get giant. Grape- YOU GUYS BETTER TELL ME YOU KNOW THIS IS INACCURATE. possibly one of the least accurate crops in grow a garden is the grape. Because its not even a real thing. The grapes in grow a garden look like if u bundled a bunch of bayberries into a weird cone then stuck them on a vine somehow growing upwards? The IRL grape vine has small berry like fruits and is extremely dense viney foliage that grows on mostly vertical surfaces. Pepper- Here we go again... CHILLIS ARE NOT PEPPERS OH MY GOD. WHAT MAKES IT EVEN WORSE IS THE OWNER, JANDEL, IS KIWI!? AND LAST TIME I CHECKED, KIWIS CALL PEPPERS CHILLIS. PEPPER IS A SPICE NOT A FRUIT!? RAGHHHH. EVEN THE PLANT ITSELF IS INCACCURATE?! ITS MORE LIKE A BLUEBERRY BUSH THAN WHAT IT IS IN GAME. T-T Cacao- Finally I can rest... The cacao tree in game is accurate to some degree. Its a lot larger IRL but lets just say the cacao in game is a dwarf variety. Thank you... Beanstalk- visibly shaking, THE BEANSTALKS ARE NOT THAT BIG... Yk what... You guys should know that. Normal Seed pack:
Pineapple - Extremely accurate. There's essentially no flaws except for the fact that there's more leaves.
Peach - Also quite realistic. They nailed the shape of the tree, except the peaches grow more in bundles and the peaches themselves are more spherical.
Raspberry - This is one of the only ones i've actually grown, and it's not too accurate... i mean, the bush shape is right but the fruits don't always grow in pairs, and are typically higher up in the plant.
Pear - I know this one got removed but WHAT HAPPENED???? I have a pear tree and it is not accurate at all! The actual tree looks like... a normal tree and grows an uncountable amount of fruits, and yet this pear looks like a twig that was left without water for weeks on end.
Flower Seed Pack:
Rose - Pretty accurate but where's the stems on the flowers? Also, roses are typically also found to have magenta and pink colors in them aswell, but it depends on the breed, so i'll let it slide.
Foxglove - Suprisingly accurate. They actually locked in while making it and it has essentially no flaws.
Lilac - We were doing so good.... WHAT HAPPENED? Lilacs are normally bushes, and are much more flowering, and this one looks is literally just a stick!
Pink Lily - Atleast they tried. It's good enough... but again, it's NOT JUST A STICK!!! It has more then one stem to it!!!!
Purple Dahlia - Dahlias in general are bushes, like can you stop messing this up? What is the GAG devs and their obsession with making plants into big sticks???
Sunflower - They typically grow more then one sunflower on each plant, AND WHY IS IT SO DAMN BIG????

I dunno, when I string trellised vining tomatoes they looked a little like the game plants. Big difference is that tomatoes grow in sort of clusters from stems that grow out of the spot right above a leaf. Corn is somewhat accurate stem-wise, but it grows fruits covered with a husk out of the space right above leaves kind of like the game tomato does. Pumpkins and watermelons are pretty similar in growth pattern, they both vine across the ground. Daffodils are single harvest, and grow a single flower per plant, so I’d say they’re pretty accurate.
Some of these plants crack me up, like the apple and cactus. Like. What even happened there?
