The result isn't decided the moment you obtain a seed pack, just as soon as you open it. If you have an empty inventory and use a seed pack and don't have any duplicates of the seed you're going to obtain, it will be in your inventory the moment the rolling animation starts.

I think, seeing how the rare plant rolling away in the roulette is a luck as well. Like, there's also a chance for plants to even appear in this roulette. Imagine, how someone is getting the Rose in the middle of two Sunflowers or something. It's as rare sight as pulling this Sunflower itself xd

Btw, it doesn't mean, that all of pets and seeds are rigged. It's still given to you randomly, but just before the roulette animation even starts.

It's not a secret. Just clear your main inventory, buy any seed pack or pet egg and you will see it yourself.

If you use the machine with perfect timing, it should take around 360,000 seconds to get 2,000 honey.
360,000 seconds = 6000 minutes = 100 hours = ~4.16667 days
