Odd crash when loading V1 Save
When i load my V1 save i get an unreal engine crash report. all mods i have loaded via SMM are flagged as working. there are 3 on this save that are not but ive disabled those in SMM. if i start a new game all is fine. any idea how i can find out which mad is causing the crash from the report?

We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced here in this channel.

The Mod Manager is reporting an error because it's trying to modify an outdated copy of the game. This could be caused by one of two things:
1. One of the installs connected to the Profile you have selected is still running a previous version. To fix this, either uninstall it, update it, or switch to a different Mod Manager profile so that it isn't considered in the update process.
2. You have leftover files in your install directory from downgrading to play a previous version. To fix this, uninstall the game (verify files won't fix this!), delete the game install directory if it still exists (this is NOT the AppData folder, but the location where you installed the game), then reinstall the game, and reopen SMM.

I have created a fresh profile in SMM if i start a new game i get no crash. if i load my old save it crashes. I have never downgraded to play a previous version.
Yep we've been getting some false positives on that message recently (should stop in a week or two on their own for complicated reasons)
What were the mods which weren't updated?

nope it was Advanced Logistics, Circuitry - Logic Gates and more, X3 Splitters/Merger Pole, and X3_Roads.

It looks like you have not yet generated the debug info file!
Please do as the mod manager requested. Click the "Generate debug info" button and send the zip file in <#1243688087578738770> otherwise we will not be able to help you!

You have an out of date server which is attached to the same profile
update that to 1.1 and you'll be able to install it normally
ah i didnt think that would affect it as im not using the server currently
that's what was causing the downgrade duplicate message, not the other false positive 😅
Nah, profiles will only let you add things which work on all things the profile is assigned to
you can either create a new profile to assign to the server, uninstall the server, or update the server to 1.1
ive created a new profile in smm and added the mosd that are compatible would this new profile still see the old server?
ive just deleted the server in smm
getting this still. i have to go back to work now oh the joys. if you think of anything else i can try that would greatly be appreciated if not ill have to start again lol. many thanks again 🙂

Upload your save to SCIM and download it again and try that, sometimes it can fix issues in saves

Many thanks for this SJ, I've finally found the mod that was causing the crash when loading my old save it was this one. not sure if anyone else has had issue?
Not aware of that one specifically, but I believe there's been a few odd issues since 1.1 came out

i cannot duplicate your issue so i cannot resolve what i cannot reproduced. Make sure your on the newest version is all i can say
if it is crashing when building a certin item then i need to know what item is having the issue so i can see if i can replicate it
