presoldered headers

Hi ! I'm completely new to split keyboards and my soldering skills are... baasically non-existant. I was wondering if there was a pre-soldered lily58 variant with the headers and especially the LED soldered (I'm deeply afraid of surface mounted components). Thanks a lot for your help and may I showcase my new keyboard soon !

Hi! I understand your concern about soldering, especially with small components. Good news! Our Lily58 Wireless PCB comes partially assembled, meaning many components like hotswap sockets, diodes, and the JST jack are already pre-soldered for you. For the nice!nano and nice!view (which is a display, not individual LEDs), we offer "no-solder" header options. This means you won't need to solder these parts at all – you simply insert them into the PCB. You can find more details in our build guides: * Lily58 Wireless Getting Started (see "Partially Assembled") * nice!nano installation (select "No-Solder Hotswap" tab) * nice!view installation (see the info box) So, you can definitely build a Lily58 without needing advanced soldering skills for these parts! Let me know if you have any more questions, or if you need further assistance, feel free to reply to this message or tag me.

Installing your nice!nano is usually the first step in building your keyboard. In this guide, we'll go over the three different ways to install your nice!nano.
nice!view | Typeractive.xyz Documentation
If you have nice!views with your build, this guide will go over installing the sockets and headers. If you don't have nice!views, you can skip this guide.

Hey McCrow, totally understand your hesitation about soldering, but it's actually a lot easier than it looks. I haven't soldered anything for over 30 years, my hands tremble more than I remember, and my sight is disappointing these days, but I did it anyway. Give it go!
