It turned out to be my ISP. They got me reset at my building, guess some settings were messed up somehow but they got me uploading from 0.01 to almost 5Mbps! I can handshake servers around the world again!

Some of my mods are not showing up in game despite being reported as active by SMM. Some are missing in the Mods menu lister so something is messed up still.

I just tried with another file that was reported as not installed and SMM says it's already installed. Weird

Ok looking in the mods folder it appears they are "there"
sorry cuz I just got that message. I tried to install all my "Installed" mods from the mod web page. it returns a mod already installed or cancel message in SMM

Ok this is weird. There must be a config file that is not being deleted when I uninstall SMM and all my mods. I just installed SMM and my mods are still listed and "the que" is trying to install mods!

If neither of those work I'd suggest nuking the download cache at [user]\AppData\Local\ficsit\downloadCache

Also worth clearing out that cache folder anyways because it will have had every mod version you've ever installed in there, so even compressed, it can start to take up a lot of space

Guess it depends on which mods you're download; SS by itself is like a quarter of a gb

Personally I think SMM needs an update
Oh boy yeah just tried the same myself; this is a much less than ideal setup (everything greyed out, saying mod updates available that can't have anything done with them either, but it does still seems to be downloading them in the background)
Only know because I'm watching the network activity in the task manager
But yeah I had another profile from someone else that needed help a couple months back and this profile has 2.6BG of mods to download sooooo
I closed SMM. I just did the on/off and we'll see. it SAYS its downloading but who knows

When SMM is first run it flashes, all too quickly a error that it can not find the mod server
