Post Restore not starting
Hey I’ve moved systems and attempted to restore a backup but when i run everything and follow restore instructions, docker ps shows immich_server is stuck on restarting.
compose was copy pasted from the default and not touched.
my environment variables are
UPLOAD_LOCATION=/mnt/shares/immich
DB_DATA_LOCATION=/home/wdreyer/docker/immich/db
TZ=America/New_York
IMMICH_VERSION=release
DB_PASSWORD=thisisasecurepassword
DB_USERNAME=postgres
DB_DATABASE_NAME=immich

In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
- Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
- Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l
and df -h
).
- The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.

there's a permission issue with your UPLOAD_LOCATION mount point
as it says permission denied
yeah i realized that after the fact, prob has to do with the nfs share
i’m trying to apply permissions recursively
