Issue with a specific mod on server, SMM Debug zip attached

The mod runs fine, but every time mods are updated or this mod is added, I get an error pop up saying I'm running a older version of the game than is supported, when it fact I am not running the version of the game it says I am, and am actually running a newer version of the game. This is only happening with Infinite Elevators, but I'm told its not related to that mod. SMM generated debug zip file attached.
Solution:
You have another older server listed in your config in your steamapps folder

The Mod Manager is reporting an error because it's trying to modify an outdated copy of the game. This could be caused by one of two things: 1. One of the installs connected to the Profile you have selected is still running a previous version. To fix this, either uninstall it, update it, or switch to a different Mod Manager profile so that it isn't considered in the update process. 2. You have leftover files in your install directory from downgrading to play a previous version. To fix this, uninstall the game (verify files won't fix this!), delete the game install directory if it still exists (this is NOT the AppData folder, but the location where you installed the game), then reinstall the game, and reopen SMM.

The only FactoryServer.exe install on this windows server PC is CL418783. I simply installed the server I'm currently using, and nothing more. It has been updated once, since installation. I have never installed another version of the game server, or downgraded, at any point. And I want to point out again that this is only happening with this singular mod, no other mod has thrown this error. So something differently is being done in regards to the version check on this mod vs all the others.

That's because this is most likely the only mod you have that wasn't released at all until after1.1 was released therefore there isn't a version of this mod that doesn't have 1.1 required in order for it to run. Therefore it's the only mod triggering that warning. Hence, it isn't a bug with the mod itself, but the result of SMM detecting an outdated copy of the server. This would happen with any mod created and released after 1.1, not just this one

Interesting, since the server was also created after 1.1, just before the first patch. I downloaded it from Steam a while back before deciding to just use SteamCMD. They aren't even in the same installation folder though, and it doesn't even show up in SMM as an option at all.

Interesting, can you send a screenshot of the installation drop-down box in SMM please?

Here in the server setup menu I had to navigate and add mine, but I just noticed the general installation menu in the top left it seems to have found the other installation. After opening up steam and removing that, it's gone. I guess that was it? I never even pointed SMM to it like I did with my actual one, so I didnt even consider it's existence.

I cant test it right now since some folks are playing right now, but I'm going to assume that fixed it and if it didnt, I'll just follow the Fred steps and basically whipe everything and start fresh after backing up the saves

No, the steam installation was definitely your problem! Fingers crossed there won't be any others 🙂
