Curve Builder: Is it still possible to curve other listed “buildables” in a multiplayer session?

Good evening, Tonight is my first time playing with mods, and I was super excited to try Curve Builder. Apologies in advance for any cluelessness and confusion since I’m not the host and also a newbie with all of this. Curve Builder has been doing great with foundations, and I got even more excited when noticed the description mentioned other buildables like walls and pillars. I also saw it was disclosed that only foundations/ramps can be worked on right now in a “client-only” mod. Since I am bit confused being new to this, I was wondering if there is any way to curve the other listed buildables in multi-player sessions (not servers) yet? Currently, the option does not pop up for me and I’m not sure if that is by default due to the “client-only mod” situation or due to potentially other issues on my end, such as incompatibility with mods. However, the host, who is just hosting a locally stored game/session (with me playing through Epic) does have it installed and can see the curve option for non-foundation/ramp buildables. We’re not sure if this session still counts as a server since it does not fall under the criteria of the dedicated server, so we are not sure if the mod could be added by managing servers. Is there something we are completely missing? Out of the mods both of us have installed, in addition to Curve Builder, they include: Grappling Hook, Infinite Nudge, Infinite Zoop, Cartograph, and AutoLink. Thank you in advance for any assistance with this, as well as the hard work making the mod! @rosso135

If this isn't the mod you were looking for, try a different spelling.

You'll need to install it client-side and host/server side, but they work together very well! Check out the screenshots here for an example and more info: https://discord.com/channels/555424930502541343/1384885583851163750

Do you happen to know if there’s a specific way to install it on the host side besides the host installing it like a normal mod? Do they have to make sure the game has it somehow even if it’s a locally hosted session and not a server? That’s what I’ve been wondering may be the issue with it not showing up for me, but showing up for the host

It depends. You can still run locally hosted dedi server games (how I did my MP games with my partner as it was more stable), in which case you'll need to make sure the host has all of the mods installed in the server profile in SMM as well as in their personal profile, and in yours. If it's set up as an MP game where it started as a SP game of your friend's that you then joined as a guest you'll only need to ensure all of the mods are on both of your personal profiles in SMM

I hope it’s okay to post an additional message in here since unfortunately I’ve had no luck with figuring out a solution. The host is trying to set up a dedicated server with the existing game, but there’s a bit of difficulty with that. I still unfortunately am limited to foundations and ramps when in their locally hosted game. Is this because my mods still act as client-only mods even though I’m not in a dedicated server?
