My Platonic Love For Navy Suits - ALBOR/SaD
After a decade of writing about menswear for fun, i finally decided to talk about Navy Suits. The article covers both what many people have already said with a bit of my own weird philosophy on wearing it.
TL;DR- Navy has an easy gravitas that works with everything you wear it with. It celebrates your choices, whether its a foulard tie or a merch tee. However, it's not as slouchy as brown or as austere as grey. A Navy Suit is its own thing, one that is so easy to wear. It's about full sending and leaning in, to envelop yourself in Navy. It's freeing.

Im glad im not the only one who finds navy separate trousers difficult to wear. I suppose navy separates fall into the jeans uncanny valley?
Anyway, really interesting read! I think navy is really the most suitiest of suit colours, which is maybe why I find it so hard to wear personally. I think when one wears a navy suit you really commit to wearing a suit in a way that brown and grey do not, at least for me.
