Any tools or advice for installing belts??

I am trying to get the belt tensioning done in the comissioning process and only ever get 1 peak in the xy belt tensioning portion. I am somewhat confused as to whether 1 or 2 peaks are required per toolhead (500 IDEX), but email from ratrig says 2 are required for each toolhead. From what I can see in troubleshooting, and guidance from ratrig, says that the belts are rubbing on something. They look totally and perfectly fine to me and I can see no place there is any rubbing, but Im thinking I will just have to completely remove belts and install again. I am dreading this because of how difficult it was initially. Are there any tools or things one can print to help ease the install of the belts? The routing of the belt of T0 is very difficult to do in the left corner I found. I could have sworn I saw a link to some kind of thing you could print that made the install much easier but I have been searching all day here and on printables and can find nothing. I was almost 100% sure I had seen this other day but when I need it, can find it nowhere. Any pointers on the easiest way to install belts would be appreciated.

I always take small stripes of sand paper. I bend them so they can take the corners. Then I grab the bells and just pull.

Hello It seems I also have this problem. it sounds like my belts are rubbing against something and I also double checked everything of the XY-kinematics did you manage to solve your problem?

AhhhhH! That is what I was looking for the whole time. Except I was searching on printables. For a little while I thougth i was going crazy because I was so sure I had seen that before and it just was nowhere to be found (on printables). Ok so "thangs", I've heard of that site before I have never really gone there and must not have realized that is where I was viewing it. Thank you very much for the link, appreciate it @milbrua For the record, @Jobbe , my issue ended up being the fact that I was tensioning them incorrectly. I used the GATS tool (on printables) and that was able to get my stuff working correctly. What I had was a very small, almost imperceptible misalignment or mistension, which caused a little extra friction at times on the belts. It was a huge pain in the ass, but that tool will help a lot with tensioning. When they are done at the same time, everything stays much more aligned.

A bit under 2kg. I got some wieghts on amazon. I'll also note i used a frequency tuning app as well to get everything in known ranges. for the lower XY belts that was ~115-120khz and on the top hybrid belts it was ~95khz. It's important that the gantry and extruder are in the correct, homed position when measuring the frequency. For that I used Pano tuner (it's the app recommended for tuning belts on Markforged printers which are here too) . There is a spreadsheet that is around that has good values to use, and I was given guidance for a starting point of 110 on bottom and 90 on top.
