I reported someone while playing wow room with a random player. I doubt that guy was using hack so I reported him and after few mints he got banned but only for 7 days. My question is was he using hack or something else.? If he was using hack why his account didn't get banned for 10 years.?

If a player is confirmed to have cheated, their account will permanently be suspended (10 years).
If the player you reported only received a 7-day ban then it's more likely that the violation was less severe. Some examples of 7-day bans are unfair cooperation and teaming up with cheaters.
