suede loafers - between sizes

looking at meermin suede loafers https://eu.meermin.com/products/514360-taupe-suede-e
From the sizing chart, size 10 is 285.5 mm in length, and size 10.5 is 289.8 mm.
My foot is 287-287.5 mm in length, which puts almost exactly in the middle between 10 and 10.5.

Meermin suggested going with the 10 and then stretching them. Most online posts say you can't expect any length stretching, so going with a size 10 doesn't seem like a good idea, but going for a 10.5 might stretch and become too loose.

Anyone have some experienced advice with this? Maybe the answer is neither size works, in which case maybe someone can recommend a similar loafer (open to lighter colors or gray).
