Places for suit shopping in NYC?
Hey all, I'm going to NYC for a couple days and would like to purchase a suit, so would love some recs for places. As for style, I'm looking for something in a more casual material, a jacket that's undarted with a slouchier body and full legged trousers with higher waist and minimal taper. I dig the classic ivy style suits too. TBH, what I'm looking for is really just a Drake's games suit but also wanna look at more options since I'm gonna be limited by the OTR options. I'll be checking out Drakes, the Armoury and JPress and would love more recs!

Hi @myloxydian! The best way to get a good answer is to ask a great question.
Please consider including:
- Reference pictures of things you like or are looking for. The more the better!
- Pictures of you wearing things if you have fit questions.
- A specific budget in numbers. “Affordable" means different things to different people.
- Specific measurements: Chest and waist are far more useful than height and weight.
- Measurements of your favourite fitting clothing. Learning these measurements will go a long way in helping you shop online and secondhand!
- Whether you're happy to buy secondhand.
- Whether you prefer to buy in person or are open to shopping online.
- Your vague location, especially if that limits your options because of customs or access to stores. A country or continent is helpful.
- Timescales: Do you need something urgently, or can you wait for the right thing at the right price?

maybe No Man Walks Alone
buck mason, suitsupply (now that it doesn't suck), flagship ralph lauren all come to mind
f.e.castleberry gives me the ick as a human being but that would also be an option
Stoffa, CHCM
CHCM carries a lot of brands with that style of suiting and laidback vibe, i think ud like their stuff a lot
Cueva tends more casual but they have some more laidback suiting too and they also just cover a really wide gamut of stuff
NMWA is great but they don't run a traditional retail storefront. Per their website:
While we do not operate a traditional store that you could browse, we have a showroom area in our office on West 37th St in NYC where we can host private shopping appointments. All of the stock is on location so we can pull anything you'd want to try, but the merchandise is not set up in a store setting for easy browsing. All the stock that we have in the showroom is also shown online. We can schedule private shopping appointments Mon-Fri from 10 to 6pm.
? Request and appointment
Idk you can still go and check out stuff you just need to plan it a bit more
Yeah I agree it's worth checking out, just figured it was worth the heads up since that part is buried in their website FAQ
ah yeah fair
How is Todd Snyder for suits?
make a separate thread
I mean I was asking if that’s a good suggestion for this guy
