it had me re-auth the github connection, once I did it redirected me back to cloudflare except now on the "Clone a public repository via Git URL" page
since I am connecting a private repo, I started the create a new application flow again
Now I get a different message "You must accept updated permissions on GitHub to use this account."
Right - this looks related to https://developers.cloudflare.com/pages/platform/changelog/#2024-12-19
Will fix that redirect issue though, that's annoying
I got it to work just now -- it might be worth updating this help message
I followed those steps, but there is a different "review permissions" box above that you need to click through
once I went back through the refresh flow, and authorized the additional permissions it worked
