Moiré Effect with shadows when looking from far away, DH+Shaders?

You notice that the terrain has this distorted effect when moving? I'm not sure what it is but I'm sure people have gone through this before

AA can sometimes help a bit, but i doubt itll help here

AA should always help, though how much it depends

Thats Anti-aliasing right? I tried to turn it on inside the shader settings but nothing happens

i think because the moire effect is too strong here to be mitigated by AA not much else you can do well, you can try using the QDAA mod, but then you can also say bye bye to your FPS

There shouldn’t exist any moire effect that couldn’t be mitigated by AA. The AA can only be not strong enough, QDAA will only addd more AA

yeah thats what i meant. the shader uses TAA probably

If the shader AA is not enough you can: - tune the shader AA in shader settings - install AA mod, e.g. QDAA - use DRS or AMD equivalent - add more AA via Reshade (start with SMAA, then if not enough TAA) All of these can work at the same time. You always also can buy higher res monitor if you would want the best mitigation of them all, though also the most expensive (as in not free)
