Star rotations (NOT DIRECTIONS)
Why do Stars appear to rotate in different directions in different hemispheres.
In the Northern Hemisphere:
If you look towards the North Pole, stars appear to rotate counterclockwise around the North Star (Polaris).
In the Southern Hemisphere:
If you look towards the South Pole, stars appear to rotate clockwise around the South Celestial Pole.
There's no bright star like Polaris in the south, but the rotation pattern is still clear.
If the Earth were flat:
You wouldn't have completely different star fields in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
You wouldn't see stars rotating in opposite directions depending on your hemisphere.
The Southern Cross constellation, for example, wouldn't be invisible from Europe, but plainly visible from Australia.

all stars move from east to west. But stars are not the earth and have no bearing on the ground condition, so the question is off the mark.
