MoR Payment Processing for SaaS
Hey all,
I'm building a SaaS web app with a subscription pricing model and need help choosing a payment processor.
This is my first time integrating payments, and since I'm based in Sweden, I'm leaning toward using a MoR to simplify taxes and compliance.
I initially tried Lemon Squeezy, got registered, but my store application was rejected without a clear reason. Also, they have a bunch of "hidden" fees that make me hesitant.
Now I'm considering Paddle, which seems solid, but I'm still unsure.
Would appreciate any insights or experiences with payment providers for SaaS.

if your saas app is serious with international users, Paddle is better option than other like Stripe. It's tested for VAT and global compliance and easy to manage payment models. Another option is FastSpring, is also full MoR, but not sure they support modern saas models. Maybe need to get support from legacy team.
What about Paypal or Stripe?
@.361 ° Alright, thanks for your response! I will sign up for Paddle and try and get it set up then. But do you have any knowledge about Lemon Squeezy, or would you still recommend Paddle?
@davie--1225 I have heard a lot of negatives about Paypal...
And Stripe isn't really an option because of them not handling taxes, VAT etc. My company is still pretty small, so handling all of that when it comes to the international side would be too much.
The only problem i currently have is that I cant get approved. Its because I want to keep the project secret for now, so my website isnt up yet. I think this is probably the reason why LS declined me as well
Lemon Squeezy got bought out by Stripe and has been pretty stagnant since then afaik. They might working on it less now since now they are launching a mor service within stripe itself https://docs.stripe.com/payments/managed-payments (purely speculation on my part).
So you can try out paddle, it is older and established. And if you want to try something like lemonsqueezy (built on stripe and payouts go to a stripe account) then there's polar.sh which is newer, and built on stripe like lemonsqueezy was.
Ahh okay. Thanks!
I think I will go with paddle. But that thing stripe is launching seems promising
