Created by 'workflow'

I am creating records through a manually triggered workflow, but the createdBy value is showing as 'workflow'. I want it to capture the username of the person who triggered the workflow. Additionally, I don't want to show the entire workflow pipeline to the user, and the user should only be allowed to update the form, not the workflow itself.
