The first announcement is half a year back and it's received updates since and is still available on the newest Geometry Dash version. Seems TheSillyDoggo isn't quite content with the idea of stopping development, so We're not in a hurry to preemptively move it to the obsolete section while it's still as available. Otherwise, with the same logic, yBot would also have to be removed, and We don't imagine you need convincing that it should stay at this time.

But the developer of yBot hasn't said the bot is discontinued and while there hasn't been any updates for awhile, he has actively said the bot is still being developed. https://discord.com/channels/717848229068275853/1170354750932385875/1391120610653896735 Also the bot was removed over a year ago in about version 1.3.5 (based on discord messages)

Oh that's how you mean it. We suppose it's communicated a bit badly, or, rather, it's not communicated at all and you just went in with the assumption that all of these tools are full on macro recorders, which, granted, is a fair assumption if you look at all the other tools. Anyway, it's included not because it's necessarily a full macro recorder in itself, but because it's has some tools that still can be helpful, most notably the trajectory display, which is a surprisingly hard feature to come by. We also remember it being able to do a basic form of rewind but list says no and We can't check because for some reason Geometry Dash doesn't respond to Our clicks now. We suppose it would be better served with a complementary tool shelf, since we're aching for table space anyway. Then again, part of the appeal is being able to see the feature matrix, so hm.

Yeah, I didn't really put all the information in my first message, I thought that because QOLMod doesn't have a macro recorder, it shouldn't be on the main list considering this is a list of all macro recorders. I still put it in the obsolete/discontinued section for having that capability at one point. It really seems that this list should hold software that has or had macro recording capability considering the description is "Comprehensive list of macro/replay/bot/TAS mods for Geometry Dash" which QOLMod no longer falls into.

We just don't want to get lost in specific definitions just to exclude a single tool from the main list. The way We see it, it's still a thing that offers adjacent utility that can be used in parallel, even though it's not a complete package. We had generally expected there to be more stuff like this, QOLmod just turned out to Be the one package that can be used together with others. In other words it would be one Tool in the Tool Assisted Speedrun toolbox.

Okay, would it make more sense to place tools like this in a different section?

If there was more than one tool like that, perhaps worth a consideration, but, as is, it feels that would kinda defeat the purpose. Basically the idea is for it to go something like seeing a tool that you mostly like but still lacks some functionality, and then see in the same table that another complementary tool has a checkmark where the other recorder doesn't. Also We're not too eager to break things up when the plan is to change up the whole presentation soon anyway.

Oh, BTW, what exactly is "Physics Changing"?

Most bots simply saved what frame or x-position an input occured, but because no one was able to fix the "practice mode bug", this lead to macros recording inacurately. A solution to this is to record where the player was on that frame and teleport the player to the position every frame. This basically ensures that a macro can never fail.
