DH on Server stuck on low?
I keep changing my DH on my game and it doesnt really seep to change from low-highest

the quality preset is handled by the client. The server sends you highest quality LODs and the client downsamples them
Can you provide a screenshot of the issue?
☝️ This, and remember that quality level changes aren't instant. You need to apply the changes then wait for a while for the new higher quality LODs to render
yeah when ever I change the quality, it just looks the same, and when I check it always saus custom
i know its not the lowest, but the one above it, it all looks like that I think

every other setting seems fine for the most part
thats the very close chunks you're looking at, thats max quality
DH doesn't render textures
so its bad quality, until I explore it?
and it being changed to custom is a bug, your settings are not actually changed

whenever I had it at extreme my PC cried
It determines how high quality the LODs for further away chunks is, basically how fast the quality falloff is with distance

It saying "custom" doesn't change the quality preset from what you have set it to

so if my settings arent being changed, what quality preset do I have

The chunks very close to you will pretty much always be at their highest quality

You can ignore the custom entirely, its purely visual. The preset you selected is being used by DH
im seeing the differents now
Set the preset to the lowest, then look at chunks very far away. Change it to high and then look at the same very far away chunks.
The chunks close to you will be high quality because that how LODs work
