game crashed
I used to play it with a friend and had made significant progress. However, couple days ago the game crashed, and since then, every time I launch it, it starts from the beginning. All of my progress and items have been lost.

it sounds like you pressed "NEW" instead of "CONTINUE" when joining the world, or had forgotten to save the game beforehand.
so i cant do anything with it? my friend create the server and he has everything we collected
you have to save your own progress individually, and pressing new will completely overwrite your save data if it existed for the world, so sadly not. however, bright side is it shouldn't be too hard to regain your progress. story item wise, only one person needs the bulk of it, and you can just go back through any locations that have already been cleared to regain your stuff (cave enemies take a while to respawn and typically in much fewer numbers than there were initially)
your friend could also help 'dupe' stuff like placing weapons on a weapon rack and having you collect them, then you save your game but your friend doesn't, then when the world is reloaded you'll keep the equipment he gave you and he'll get his back
