Bright orange shirt styling advice please
Can anyone give me some advice or suggestions about wearing this shirt?
I bought it thinking it would be good for summer but haven't found any outfits that don't look better with an alternative shirt like a chambray or Hawaiian.
But it's a bright orange PRL Oxford so presumably someone knows what to do with it.
Pics or styling tips welcome!

Hi @RedWhisky! The best way to get a good answer is to ask a great question.
Please consider including:
- Reference pictures of things you like or are looking for. The more the better!
- Pictures of you wearing things if you have fit questions.
- A specific budget in numbers. “Affordable" means different things to different people.
- Specific measurements: Chest and waist are far more useful than height and weight.
- Measurements of your favourite fitting clothing. Learning these measurements will go a long way in helping you shop online and secondhand!
- Whether you're happy to buy secondhand.
- Whether you prefer to buy in person or are open to shopping online.
- Your vague location, especially if that limits your options because of customs or access to stores. A country or continent is helpful.
- Timescales: Do you need something urgently, or can you wait for the right thing at the right price?
Also, please use the search function to see if a similar question has already been asked!
The best advice I can give you is to learn how to help yourself here. Go through waywt and see how other people are styling button downs
Bright orange isnt the easiest color, but its not impossible. It looks good with a medium colored jean like you're currently wearing, for one.

I put together an album here in this thread of some other people wearing summery button downs
I'd say every choice you're making in that outfit is "wearing clothes"
If you want your outfit to be interesting you have to make interesting choices
or at least intentional ones
Looks good how you’ve styled it.
I have had a few similar oranges in my time. Blues and earth tones are usually a good place to start.
As for how to style it, treat it like any other OCBD, but make it the centerpiece of the outfit
this photo of art is a really good example

hes in a bold colored shirt, but he has a ribbed tank underneath
he has a belt in a complementary color
its a bit long but he has it hanging down
his pants have some subtle striping
he's doing the menswear thing wear you match your shoes and belt color
his shoes have interesting tassels
his shirt is tucked in an interesting way that dresses it down and he's looking maybe a little intentionally disheveled with his hair
he might be carrying that bag in the back which is a similar tone between his shoes/belt and his shirt
im not saying you should do any or all of that
but he's making some choices that are clear
Wear (white) undershirt with scooped neck, leave buttons open, tuck into high waisted green trousers like OG107s, woven belt in brown that's a bit too long hanging down, Clarks wallabees on your feet, maybe some kind of dad cap.
Oh that's basically a different take on arts fit that @Shrimpy described above. I should read all the comments first.
in a pinch it's an ocbd - roll the sleeves up, pair with a neutral color bottom (blue or ecru jeans, olive or khaki chinos, and whatever shoe you want). orange means you're gonna draw attention so it's best to embrace that
I'm going to steal this style tomorrow. I just wish I had more tan/light brown shoes
not direct analogs but agree with the others re white/light underlayer

I think doing loafers instead of those sneakers would be doing a big bump up
I also tend to think that your pants should take up a good amount of the visual weight of your outfit
Whether that be tucked to show the whole pant (mid to high waisted probably)
Or going for a wider cut
Although I like the jeans you have on there
They look a little roomy which is great
