Why does't wasp get more love on product hunt?
It's the best of all the opinionated saas starters I've found. I don't see anything this good elsewhere. Also, how do you fund running this for free?

There isn't explicit information in the knowledge sources about why Wasp hasn't gained more traction on Product Hunt compared to other SaaS starters. However, some relevant points from the sources may help explain possible reasons:
- Wasp is still maturing and the team is focused on reaching a stable 1.0 release before expanding into broader marketing or value-add services. Their current priority is core product development rather than aggressive promotion or monetization strategies, which could affect visibility on platforms like Product Hunt Business model discussion.
- Some users have found the onboarding experience and documentation could be improved, especially for new users or those returning to a project after some time. This can impact first impressions and word-of-mouth recommendations, which are important for Product Hunt success CLI onboarding feedback.
- There have been requests for more clarity and ease of use in starter templates, database setup, and error messages. These are being addressed, but any friction in the early experience can limit viral growth and positive reviews Starter template feedback, Onboarding issues.
- Wasp is positioned as a tool for building full-stack web apps, not static sites or no-code solutions, which may limit its appeal to a broader audience that frequents Product Hunt for quick-launch tools When to use Wasp.
In summary, while Wasp is highly regarded by those who use it, its current focus on core development, some onboarding/documentation gaps, and its specific target audience may contribute to less visibility or "love" on Product Hunt compared to more aggressively marketed or beginner-friendly alternatives.
