Coder Under Cloudflared - Apps not working correct.
So im trying to get coder to have full use of VS-Code and File Browser.
Ive been able to get VS-Code to be able to open but i cant get Filebrowser to at all.
I am running under Cloudflared Docker, porting out Coder to my site at (Coder.Intrashare.Org)
Everything else works, from access to the terminal, to users etc.
but i cant get FileBrowser to open, it always tells me bad gateway, as if the Coder Container cannot connect to the File Browser container. Ive thought that it might have something to do with cloudflared too.
Ive used ai to make my terraform files (As i havent put everything in to learning terraform as im used to Docker Compose) And maybe that could be a problem.
Tell me what yall need to know and ill tell yah, i can also send over the files too, maybe i have something set up wrong?
(VS-Code was originally giving me the same gateway problem, im not sure how i fixed it then, VS-Code pages [node.js ports] also entirely refuse to op[en but i do get some amount of acknowledgment from the terminal on that one)

What are you creating this issue for?
(CoderCord isnt letting me tell it what this is for)
I know this has some private info in it but i dont really care.
i went ahead and pinged the workspace im testing this on, maybe it might give some useful info?
i could also sned an actual Verbose log too if anyone might need that.
Hi. What do you see in the startup script logs?
I doubt that filebrowser is running.
It is actually.
When I go and manually get in to the docker container, I can access file browser just fine.
Just when I am trying to get in to it from coder is when it fails.
It even sees the file system for the coder workspace
I just can't access it through coder at all.
And my hope is to be able to use this when I'm not at home and on the same network.
Anyone know anything?
@Maven - Probably a dumb question on my part, but what do you mean by "file browser"?
File Browser, the docker image, there's also a module for that with Coder.
I'm out rn I'll get you all of it when I get home
My coder runs it in a seperate docker container
I'll get the files and send them here when I get home and hopefully someone can help.
hey, updating you on this, the last weeks have been very busy for me, and this week will be too so there is a lot of backlog that has built up so I apologize for the delay!
If no one else from the team has had the time to figure this out I should be able to catch up
with all open issues by next week EOW, I will try to leave an answer, even if it is an "i don't know" just so you know we're looking at this!
thanks for your understanding :-)
Yee! But I do figure this will be something that you guys will eventually need to worry about.
I seriously believe that it has something to do with the cloud flared tunnel, but I just wanna make sure.
It's also highly likely that my files might just be made wrong.
Like I said I don't know what I'm doing just yet
@Phorcys
heres my compose file (it was too long)
im willing also to let an admin in to my instance so they can have a hands on look, maybe that might help?
imma grab my TF files here ina sec
maybe that will be what the problem is
i did a bit more looking around, got most things to work by myself
i can now open File Browser from the main coder workspaces page, but it just shows a three dot loading screen forever
and inside of the workspace the button is greyed out with a little exclamation mark next to it, but the logs says it has started fine.
heres the TF
also while im here is there a way to add custom buttons?
like, that go to specific links.
hopefully someone will be able to help me now that ive gotten past cloudflare
hey, apologies for the delay
i don't see anything wrong, are you able to share workspace logs?
your network setups seems to be okay, but could you share your healthcheck page as well?
I can in a while I'm not at home rn sorry for the wait ;-;
no worries!
hey! I'm closing this issue for staleness, but feel free to follow up if you've figured out and would like to share the solution! (or if you still need help)
@Phorcys closed the thread.
