@The keyboard doesn't work for typing in server chat and console.

you need your keyboard to be set to the american layout or use an american keyboard in order to do these things
it's pretty annoying for people outside the US and such, the devs should really expand the keyboard support

for me it's under language and region in settings
you shouldn't have to install anything
if your keyboard's brand has it's own app for changing it's settings then it would also be there, like for example I have a razer huntsman and I can also change it's general layout in razer synapse
