Steam not launching

Hey! I have installed steam through heroic on macOS. I launch steam and it says it is "playing". But the steam app is nowhere to be seen. I have tried reinstalling but it doesnt seem to make a difference. This was not a problem a couple weeks ago. Does anyone know what could be the problem/done about it? Am on a Mac book pro
