Cannot reinstall Witcher 3: Complete Edition GOG on Steam Deck.
Game install worked correctly on first try (installed on SD card). Proton version GE-9-26. Uninstalled and cleared all local files including prefixes.
Cannot install game a second time. Game downloads and install fails.

share the logs, both heroic logs and gog/gogdl logs from settings > logs

Sorry I meant to update this. Solved it by switching over to Proton-GE-9-25 downloaded from Heroic
I’m not sure why this was necessary, my guess is that my manually downloaded version of Proton-9-26 was corrupted somehow

proton generally has no relation to downloading or installing a game
good chance you probably just had some network issue that resolved after a time

@Allora possibly. I wasn’t able to verify that the Proton version wasn’t the issue.

Proton is only used to launch games. So it def wasnt used to download it. Or install it
