Issues with color bandwidth
Hey guys. I have just installed bazzite (bazzite-deck on HTPC), and noticed immediately that colors are washed out compared to how they were on Windows.
I discovered rather quickly that this is because bazzite limits your output to 420 8b @4k 120hz.
After doing some research I've found that full color range isn't supported on bazzite at 4k 120hz, even with appropriate hardware (HDMI 2.1, lgc1). I found this really odd, considering how people say it's the best for gaming (yet standards like full rgb range aren't even an option?)
Is there anything I can do besides setting it to 60hz (I've noticed that allows 444).
I would really prefer to not have to go back to windows, but if my only options on bazzite are sub-par colors, or 60hz I may have to. Which would suck, as this OS performs INCREDIBLY well.
Just for reference full rgb at 4k 120hz worked fine in windows.
My specs
GPU: 7800 XT
CPU: 5900x
32gig of ram.
HDMI 2.1 cable to lgc1 OLED.
