What kind of socks would you recommend for Nike Dunks for a big dude

So I’m tryna figure out what type of socks would look best with Nike Dunks and a pair of shorts. I know the classic is usually white Nike crew socks but I’m a big dude and I’ve been trying to wear them and when I look at it, it just looks like I’m wearing diabetic compression socks cause of my fat ass cankles.
