OneXPlayer X1 Pro Intel 255H
I recently bought one of these, it hasn't arrived, was wondering how support for these is. The download page basically says support is unknown on Intel variants, so was hoping to find someone that's tried it.
Also I see:
- Fan curves do not work
- Battery capacity limits do not work
- Vibration intensity does not work
I was wondering if these settings work in Windows and the setting carries over, so if I set a battery limit in Windows to 80% will it carry over to Bazzite?

Do a bug report from hhd and post it gere
TDP is not available yet
Except by using the turbo button
But we haven't added support to that special variant currently
will do as soon as I get it :mikulike:
Battery capacity will work tho
This showed up today
first issue I noticed so far is that the screen rotation is forced to the left
system id is:
not sure if that is matching any of the device quairks entries
looks like I should add it to the
OXP_X1_LIST
hm that didn't seem to fix it

Add this to oxpec
wait, its intel?
yes
255H
added it to the kernel
keep in mind i let the turbo button be used for tdp
on intel models
that will change once tdp control works for those
does this mean it's available on testing branch? sorry haven't used ublue or bazzite before, not familiar with how things work
One thing I noticed that's not working is the right side menu button that normally would bring up the overlay for TDP etc, that button appears to be doing nothing atm. Not a huge issue because swiping in from the right side of the display does bring it up however.
It's for tdp on Intel platforms
I mean the X1 button, not the Turbo button. Unelss that's what you were referring to, either way seems like they both do nothing.
it switches your device between 15 and 25W
It does not seem to be doing that, launching a heavy game (Stellar Blade) it shows it pulling 45+ watts on the main menu. Pressing both buttons does not seem to change the power draw.
I tried booting into windows and setting it to both 35W and 6W and it seems to not carry over.
I'm assuming it's running at 35W always.
tdp does not carry over reboots
Yeah it actually just went over 50W.

I guess that's not out of spec, it shows that it can boost to 115W.

Can probably loosely control TDP with an FPS limit.
115W on a handheld is diabolical
Well the default TDP cap is 6W-35W, it just seems that on Bazzite there is no limit, which I believe is equivilent to turning on the CPU boost option on Windows.
I wonder if powertools would be able to control it.
It does not, all the options for limiting clock rate etc are just blank so you can't control anything.
Interestingly enough PL1 in bios is set to 28,000 but that is clearly not working since it's been pulling 50W.
With a pl1 of 28W your tdp use will be around 45W+ from battery
