Wallpaper engine plugin broke KDE
So I've been using the wallpaper engine for KDE plugin a while and had no issues, but today I went to change the wallpaper and now the desktop doesn't load. The desktop loads for a brief moment, then it unloads exactly when the wallpaper should be loaded.

(the desktop environment itself does load, but the desktop and taskbar/dock do not)
Opened steam using my controller to show what I mean
I managed to get to settings and set the wallpaper to a normal image wallpaper put that didn't fix the issue so I'm not sure what's happening
