could a mod be causing my gpu to crash?
crash logs says my gpu is the problem, but i think the problem is possibly a mod causing my gpu to crash because this is the only game that my gpu drivers crash on

This crash was caused by a problem with your graphics card drivers or graphics card. Send the full log file for further analysis (See the

There is a problem with your graphics card drivers or graphics card. Try changing your graphics to DirectX11/DirectX12/Vulkan or force the use of DirectX11 with your game by adding the
-d3d11
command line argument to your game.Key Details for SMMDebug-2025-07-15-18-49-15.zip
so directx12 could be the issue?
whats your GPU ?
its probably just an f-ed up driver causing it
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=DDU
download DDU, use DDU and then install your GPU's driver
going to DX 11 isnt a good idea, since its a bandaid fix, its just working around the problem instead of fixing it
and going to DX 11 causes some really severe artifacts
>vulkan
could try vulkan
To force the use of Vulkan with your game, add the
-vulkan
argument to your game's launch arguments.since nanites dont function on DX 11
im pretty sure that if DX 12 is broken then Vulkan will be too
nah frequently swapping will get rid of this kinda issue
...vulkan comes with it's own, different issues :wonke:
being ?
for me its just ran worse 🤷♂️
just different rendering crashes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
1080p FSR 75% (aka:balanced) ultra preset lumen set to high W Vulkan
50fps avg
38fps 1%
27fps 0.1%
1080p FSR 75% (aka:balanced) ultra preset lumen set to high W DX 12
60fps avg
30fps 1%
26fps 0.1%
had better lows though
For me the game sometimes crashes with GPU Crash when I alt+tab while it's loading, whether it's at the start or when (re)loading a save - doesn't matter
radeon 6900xt
currently using it no crashes so far
mhm i do tend to alt tab a ton
like every 30 seconds :NOOOO:
unfortuntely i cracked my 240hz 4k ips monitor recently so im using a 720p 50 inch 60hz old ONN tv so idc about how it looks
lordy the input delay is atrocious any tips for that:wonke:
prolly hardware bound obv
also i dont understand this, do drivers just happen to corrupt over time that easily? last DDU full driver wipe was like 6 months ago
then its probably fine.. just that sometimes, drivers dont update the way they're supposed to..
though its probably not a driver thing since its usually NVIDIA that has those problems in this game
Just make sure you don't alt+tab while you're on a loading screen (see attached) and during startup of the game, might reduce the amount of gpu crashes

so far on vulkan i haven't had a crash yet
knocks on wood
